As of today, the current known number of Swine Flu cases in the state of California stands at 49 persons infected (this according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).  Many continue taking precautions to prevent further spread as schools are closed and many are telecommuting to avoid the populated areas.  The first images of this strain were captured by the CDC from a California patient sample submitted last week:
